So what’s the biggest difference between Buddy Brew Coffee and all the biggies? Freshness, plain and simple. A roasted bean truly only lasts up to 14 days at peak flavor. A ground bean only last 24 Buddy Brew Coffee fresh hand roasted batch by batch order by order hours. The average age of coffee at the biggies is 3 weeks!!?!

That’s how long it takes for their roasted beans to get through their distribution process not to mention any additional time it sits on the shelf. Hard to believe isn't it? At Buddy Brew Coffee we roast AND  then ship within 24 hours (usually the same day) and delivered to your door within 2 to 3 days max! In simple numbers, at least 1/10 of the time of the biggies. This directly translates into FRESHNESS and more importantly, TASTE.

The next big difference is the roast itself. We roast every batch by hand, batch by batch, order by order. The biggies are all roasting in HUGE quantities. They also have made a conscious decision to roast, for the most part, very dark. Roasting dark isn’t necessarily bad but you have to have the right bean. Haven’t you noticed how most of their coffee tastes burned or charred? Guess what? It is! Roasting is a fine art with every bean different from the next in many many ways. At Buddy Brew Coffee we test roast each bean (sometimes several times) and cup (taste) each bean so we can deliver the best possible coffee roasted to each bean’s perfect level and to your tastes, of course. The biggies definitely don’t and can’t do that!

Arabica? Of course Arabica! The real question is, what grade of Arabica? Buddy Brew Coffee only uses the highest grade Arabica beans, Specialty (grade 1), which means the least amount of bean imperfections, the most bean uniformity, the highest farming standards, and farms located at the right altitudes having best geographic amenities available. So, don’t be fooled by someone telling you it’s the best because it’s an Arabica bean. There is so much more to it when you dig just a little bit deeper.
