TAMPA, Fla. (Nov. 11, 2021) — Buddy Brew Coffee’s whole bean coffee packaging has a whole new look, just in time for the brand’s recent grocery expansion into The Fresh Market

The new design includes elements of Buddy Brew’s classic look while introducing upscale finishes to reflect the brand’s meteoric growth. Buddy Brew’s iconic logo and wordmark, as well as its eco-friendly brown kraft paper, remain central to the design. Luxe  finishes include a colorblock motif with a rich semi-matte black ink, and metallic foil printing accents.

“Our goal was to maintain the organic feel of Buddy Brew’s grassroots beginnings, while bringing in higher end elements to reflect the successful brand they are today,” said Rob Tiisler, founder and executive creative director of Company Man Studios. “We’ve made every panel of the bag special, giving consumers a 360 degree experience.”

The flat-bottomed bag features a new pressure-seal ziplock opening to extend freshness. More vibrant, colorful roast stickers now wrap from the bottom third of the bag into the side crease. Additional textual content has been added on all sides to engage consumers, including brewing instructions and the company’s origin story on the back.

The brand’s “Brew Good, Do Good” mission is prominently featured on the side panels, along with the familiar arrow motif, echoing the signage at Buddy Brew’s flagship café on Kennedy Boulevard. There’s even a surprise inspirational message on the bottom of the bag.

“We love that this new design reflects our commitment to quality, as well as our passion for people,” said Susan Ward, co-founder and president of Buddy Brew Coffee. “We’ve come a long way but our mission is the same — to create the perfect cup of coffee and build community and make the world a better place, one cup at a time. This new look captures how far we’ve come, and the heart and passion that got us here.”

The new packaging makes its debut this month in Buddy Brew’s eight Tampa cafés and its e-commerce shop, as well as the shelves of 159 Fresh Market stores in 22 states, thanks to a recent wholesale agreement.

Customers also will find the new bag on the shelves of all Florida Whole Foods stores and select Publix stores. 

On Sept. 30, the Tampa Chamber named Buddy Brew Coffee Small Business of the year at its 41st Annual Small Business of the Year Awards gala.
