Holiday coffee drinks with Susan Ward on Channel 8’s Daytime

Buddy Brew co-founder Susan Ward was featured on WFLA News Channel 8’s Daytime show. Susan debuted three original holiday coffee drinks using Buddy Brew whole bean coffee and BOLT organic cold brew. The segment aired on the morning of Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.

Shaken Espresso Eggnog

This icy eggnog espresso has a caffeine kick! Garnish with grated chocolate or espresso powder.


Ingredients:

- Buddy Brew Double Dog espresso 

- Water heated to 195-202 degrees (We recommend using the Fellow variable temperature kettle)

- 6 oz. of eggnog

- Ice 


Instructions:

  1. Place 1 scoop of ice into a metal drink shaker.
  2. Add 6 ounces of eggnog to your shaker.
  3. Using the Wacaco Nanopresso mobile espresso brewer, pull a double shot of espresso into your shaker.
  4. Place lid on the shaker and shake for 10 seconds.
  5. Strain into a chilled glass and enjoy. 

Cinnamon BOLT Nitro Cold Brew
Enjoy a cold creamy coffee with a hint of cinnamon.

Ingredients:

- ¾ cup BOLT Organic Cold Brew (Nitro)

- ¼ cup oat milk

- ½ oz. simple syrup

- Ice

- Dash of cinnamon (cinnamon stick to garnish)


Instructions:

  1. Put ice into a metal drink shaker.
  2. Add BOLT, oat milk, simple syrup and cinnamon to shaker.
  3. Place lid on and shake for 10 seconds.
  4. Strain into a chilled glass and enjoy.

Cold Brew Averna Amaro Cocktail
This coffee cocktail has hints of spice, with notes of caramel, anise, citrus and honey. Garnish with an orange twist.

Ingredients:

- ½ Cup BOLT Organic Cold Brew (original)

- ¼ cup Averna Amaro Liqueur

- Splash of milk or plant-based milk

- 2 dashes orange bitters


Instructions:

  1. Pour BOLT, Averna Amaro liqueur, bitters and milk into a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake for 10 seconds.
  3. Strain into a chilled glass and enjoy.
