Grown in the remote highlands of Northern Laos, this washed process coffee represents a rare and exciting find within the specialty market. Laos is not yet widely known for coffees of this caliber, and offerings of this quality are seldom seen. This is the first coffee from Laos we have ever brought to our menu, and we are thrilled to share an origin that will be new and surprising for many of our guests.
After being pulped and fermented overnight, the cherries are guided through traditional washing channels and then dried slowly for nearly three weeks—developing remarkable sweetness and a silky, refined texture.
Expect notes of bright starfruit give way to soft vanilla wafer and the warm, candy-like richness of peanut brittle. The finish is clean and rounded, offering a comforting sweetness that lingers.
This coffee is a uniquely expressive introduction to a region quietly emerging in the world of exceptional specialty coffee.
