From the lush, high-altitude hills of China Alta in Tolima, Colombia, this coffee captures the delicate harmony between nature and craft. Grown by José William Buitrago and his family, it reflects both his passion for coffee and his love for bees. With more than 30 colonies producing a ton of honey each year, José’s beekeeping enriches both his land and his coffee. The connection between the two is remarkable. His bees pollinate the coffee blossoms, ensuring healthy harvests, while the resulting honey becomes lighter, clearer, and sweeter.

This coffee is a blend of Colombia and Caturra varieties grown at nearly 2,000 meters above sea level. The altitude and traditional varieties produce a cup filled with floral brightness, pastry-like sweetness, and a smooth caramel finish.

Although the Buitrago family is new to specialty coffee, their enthusiasm and dedication shine through in every sip. Their journey, and this coffee, remind us that the finest flavors come from patience, care, and a deep connection to the land.
