Our latest Colombian coffee was sourced from Finca La Florida in Gigante, Huila. Farmed by Juan Cubillos, La Florida consists of 16 hectares (around 40 acres) of mineral rich land at 1,620 - 1,700 masl. This high altitude is well-suited to the production of Red Bourbon, among other coffee varietals, including Gesha. Red Bourbon is a tall, hearty coffee plant that thrives on high hillsides with plenty of shade. The bean produces a cup that is sweet, fruit-forward and full-bodied. Our meticulous roasting process ensures a captivating cup with a delightfully sharp acidity. Sweet and floral on the tongue, it has an absolutely clean finish. Expect hints of vanilla, peach tea and dark chocolate. Brewing with a Chemex will retain the sweetness and flavor complexity. Using a French press will enhance the silky, creamy body. Either way this coffee is not to be missed.
